iMReC offers a training program (Researcher Training Program; RTP) in the theoretical and practical aspects of setting up, designing, conducting, and disseminating a research program in the fields of biological and medical sciences. This program is designed to upskill students to perform basic and translational research. Throughout this program participants develop the following skills:
- Preparation and calibration of solutions
- Cell Culture and treatment
- Specimen collection
- Quantification of gene expression
- Plasmids amplification and purification
- Handling, dissecting, and treating experimental animals
- Manage experimental data
- Quality control and quality assurance procedures
The program also provides an insight to key research areas within the immune system with a focus on their applications to autoimmune diseases and oncology. The participants enjoy the academic environment, research facilities and resources at iMReC, and work in a highly collaborative and innovative environment. The knowledge and skills gained during the program are expected to have a positive impact on the trainees’ scientific careers, and employment potential.
